Our Learning Philosophy

The EYFS philosophy recognises that every child is unique, develops at their own pace and learns best through play, exploration, positive relationships and enabling environments. At CURIOO, we use this approach to support the whole child, helping them build confidence, communication, independence, curiosity and early learning foundations.
Through purposeful play, hands-on activities and responsive teaching, children develop across the key areas of learning, including communication and language, personal, social and emotional development, physical development, early literacy, mathematics, creativity and understanding the world. Our teachers observe, guide and encourage each child so learning feels natural, meaningful and joyful.

Health and Safeguarding

At CURIOO, the health, safety and wellbeing of every child are central to our early years approach. We provide a caring, supervised and nurturing environment where children feel safe, respected and supported throughout the day. Our centres follow clear health, hygiene, supervision and safeguarding procedures to help protect young children and promote their physical and emotional wellbeing. Learning spaces are planned to be age-appropriate, secure and welcoming, with routines that support children’s confidence, independence and sense of belonging.

We are committed to safer recruitment and staff suitability checks, helping ensure that adults working with children are appropriately selected, trained and supported. Our team receives ongoing guidance and training in safeguarding, child protection, positive behaviour, inclusion and early years care. We believe children learn best when they feel safe, valued and included. Our staff work to create a warm, respectful and inclusive environment where every child is known, listened to and encouraged to grow with confidence.
